What to Help New Heights? Volunteer!

Volunteers are one of the most important assets to New Heights Therapeutic Riding Center.

A volunteer can help in many ways such as leading, side walking, being a spotter, grooming and exercising horses. No horse experience is necessary. All volunteers are required to attend a training session before being scheduled for classes. After training, we will schedule you according to our need and your availability.

Volunteers must be 16 years or older. Due to safety concerns, those younger than 16 years old wishing to volunteer, cannot volunteer even with a parental guardian.

Please print and complete the form in the green box above and email to volunteer@newheightstherapy.org, or bring it in person to our administrative office.

It is important to remember that when volunteering at New Heights, you will be predominantly outside and potentially asked to lift tack that may be heavy.

Please direct any questions you may have to our online form or call our barn office (985) 796-4600.

OUR HORSES

NEED YOU

Before each lesson, it is important that our horses are looking in tip top shape for our riders. You will help groom and tack up the horses so they are ready for their lessons. Working with our barn staff is another way you can help out at New Heights. Who knew mucking out a stall and feeding could make such a big difference!
