About Us
New Heights Therapeutic Riding Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1998. We are a premier therapeutic equestrian center dedicated to positively impacting lives through our life changing therapy. We help people who have physical, cognitive, and emotional difficulties reach their full potential. We serve a wide variety of groups and individuals in our community and beyond.
Our facility is located on eight beautiful acres adjacent to Summergrove Polo Farms in Folsom, Louisiana. We have a fully handicap accessible facility with a covered arena and a 16 stall barn. In addition to our eight acres we have access to 22 acres of wooded riding trails adjacent to our property for participants to enjoy. Our arena is equipped with a wheelchair accessible ramp and a lift, which can hold up to 1,200 pounds to assist wheelchair bound clients to mount the horse.
We operate with the help of our community, volunteers, and generous donors who support our mission every day. We invite you to come tour our facility and get involved!

We are located in Folsom, Louisiana on eight beautiful acres adjacent to Summergrove Polo Farms. Our facility has access to 22 sprawling acres which include wooded, riding paths and sensory trails.

New Heights offers a variety of programs including adaptive riding, hippotherapy, and 6-8 week Veterans Programs.

Once your application is reviewed, all volunteers are required to attend a training session before being scheduled for classes. After training, we will schedule you according to our need and your availability.
Volunteers must be 16 years or older. Due to safety concerns, those younger than 16 years old wishing to volunteer, cannot volunteer even with a parental guardian.

Attend our community events! Throughout the year, New Heights hosts a variety of events from Friday Nights for New Heights to our Annual Summer Fundraiser. All events are an opportunity to give back to New Heights and thank the community.
