New Heights Therapeutic Riding

On December 31, 2008, we were serving 27 riders weekly.
In 2007, 32 people with disabilities rode weekly and 880 annual lessons were supported by 53 volunteers who donated over 2500 hours.
Since our beginning in 1998, we have served 197 riders in year-round riding sessions and 109 riders in summer camps, providing over 9500 riding lessons to individual riders. Volunteers have provided over 24,000 hours.
Riders come primarily from the following parishes, but everyone is invited to apply: St. Tammany, Washington, Tangipahoa, Orleans, St. Bernard, Jefferson

New Heights Therapeutic Riding, a division of New Heights Therapy Center, is a member center of the National Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA). The center operates under the policies and procedures established by its Board of Directors and is designated as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.
