Aspen

Gelding, born in 2009
Breed: Thoroughbred

About the Breed: Thoroughbreds are known for their agility, speed and spirit. They are commonly used for horse racing (like that of the Kentucky Derby), and other riding disciplines such as show jumping, combined training, dressage, polo, and fox hunting.

Aspen is definitely our most mischievous horse! He is a great actor when it’s time for him to go to work!

Atlas

Atlas

Gelding, born in 1995
Breed: Hanoverian

About the Breed: Often seen in the Olympic Games and other competitive English Riding. They are known for their elegant, while still powerful, athletic bodies.

Atlas is our gentle giant! He is our biggest horse and definitely our sweetest! He absolutely loves playing with balls.

Bear

Bear

Gelding, born in 1996
Breed: Mecklenburger

About the Breed: Mecklenburger were typically used as cavalry horses during war. Though today they are typically seen in dressage and show jumping events. They are considered an all-purpose utility horse.

Bear is known for his love of sleeping, whenever he pleases. He also loves his best friend, Floyd. The pair in inseparable.

Buckwheat

Buckwheat

Gelding, born in 2007
Breed: Paso Fino

About the Breed: Name meaning “fine step”, naturally gaited light horse breed dating back to the horses imported from the Caribbean from Spain on Christopher Columbus’s second voyage to the Americans in 1493.

Buckwheat may be our smallest horse, but he is definitely one of our feistiest! He is our younger riders' favorite horse due to the way he walks makes them think that they are going faster than they actually are!

Doc

Gelding, born in 2002
Breed: Quarter Horse

About the Breed: Quarter Horses are known for their ability to sprint short distances, like that of a quarter of a mile. They are currently the most common horse breed in the United States. Their body structures are perfect for intricate and quick maneuvers required in western riding events.


Doc seems to be always hungry! Though he is always on the hunt for a treat, his favorite snack is french fries!

Pinky Floyd

Pinky Floyd

Gelding, born in 1998
Breed: Thoroughbred

About the Breed: Thoroughbreds are known for their agility, speed and spirit. They are commonly used for horse racing (like that of the Kentucky Derby), and other riding disciplines such as show jumping, combined training, dressage, polo and fox hunting. 

Though Floyd is a retired racehorse, he is the slowest horse in the New Heights herd! Floyd loves his best friend Bear, the pair in inseparable.

Marie

Marie

Mare, born in 1995
Breed: Dutch Warmblood

About the Breed: Dutch Warmbloods are known for competitive dressage and jumping competitions.

Marie is our angel! She is very sweet and loves to be sweet talked! If you tell her she is pretty she will do whatever you ask of her! Though she is normally very good, she is not a fan of getting a bath and enjoys rolling around in the dirt.

Breed: Dutch Warmblood

About the Breed: Dutch Warmbloods are known for competitive dressage and jumping competitions.

Owen is like a Sour Patch Kid, first he’s sour then he is sweet! But predominantly sweet!!

Renegade

Renegade

Gelding, born in 2000
Breed: American Paint

About the Breed: American Paints are known for their distinct markings. They are also known for their intelligence and versatility. Because of this versatility they are used for nearly every facet of farm life, competition, and pleasure riding.


Renegade is known for being VERY nosy! He likes to know what everyone is doing at all times! He is also known for his two different colored eyes, one brown and one bright blue.

Rosalinda

Rosalinda

Mare, born in 1997
Breed: Oldenburg

About the Breed: Oldenburgs are known for their height, quality of gait, and jumping ability. They are also known for their personality traits of being courageous and cautious.

Rosalinda is known for being sassy and loving treats. She also loves to holler at the boys when they walk past her stall, especially Bear.

Breed: Quarter Horse

Smokey is our official greeter at New Heights! Whenever you pull up, he will always be waiting at the side of his pasture to see you! He loves our riders and is always more patient with them than anyone else.

Breed: Quarter Horse

Sunny is one of our riders’ favorite horses! He is a friend to everyone! He is also the only horse at New Heights who does not like peppermints.

Georgia

Georgia

Mare, born in 2004
Breed: Haflinger

About the Breed: Haflinger, also known as Avelignese, are always chestnut with flaxen mane and tail. Their bloodlines can be traced to those of Arabians and draft horses. They are a sturdy horse that is often used in pleasure and therapeutic riding.


Georgia is our newest edition to New Heights and we are so excited to get to know her unique personality!
